Raiders Recall Gennaro and Guhle

Prince Albert SK - The Prince Albert Raiders announced Monday that they have recalled 15-year-old forward Matteo Gennaro and 15-year-old defenceman Brendan Guhle following the conclusion of their seasons in the Alberta Midget Hockey League.

Gennaro appeared in 30 games for the St. Albert Raiders this season, recording 9 goals and 12 assists for 21 points along with 32 penalty minutes. The Raiders selected the St. Albert Alberta native in the 2nd round, 41st overall, in the 2012 WHL Bantam Draft.

Guhle is coming off a 9-game playoff run with the Sherwood Park Kings, scoring a goal and adding 4 assists and 10 penalty minutes in the post season. The 3rd overall pick in the 2012 Bantam Draft appeared in 2 pre-season games with the Raiders in September, recording an assist and 2 penalty minutes in exhibition play.

Gennaro will be with the team through the weekend, while Guhle will stay with the club until the conclusion of the post season.

The Raiders will be in Brandon on Wednesday before returning home to face the Blades in back-to-back games at the Art Hauser Centre on Friday and Saturday.

Season ticket holders are reminded to purchase their playoff packages by Saturday March 16th in order to secure their seat for the 2013 WHL Playoffs.
