Raiders Acquire Leth from Seattle

Prince Albert, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders added experience to their forward group on Thursday night.

The Raiders acquired overage forward Cavin Leth and a seventh round pick in the WHL Bantam Draft in exchange for 1998-born winger Zack Andrusiak and a third-round pick in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

Leth, listed at 6'0" and 192 lbs, is from Taber, AB. He has played in five games this season, picking up three assists and eight penalty minutes. The 20-year-old has played in 199 regular season games in the WHL, contributing 21 goals, 22 assists and 166 penalty minutes. He was acquired by the Thunderbirds prior to last season's trade deadline. He was originally drafted by the Broncos in the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft.

Andrusiak, who hails from Yorkton, checked in at 5'11" and 177 lbs. He signed with the Raiders prior to the beginning of the season. In eight games this season, Andrusiak has a goal and an assist.

The Raiders hit the road this weekend for a three-game road trip through Alberta, beginning in Edmonton against the Oil Kings on Friday Night in the new Rogers Place. On Saturday, the Raiders are in Red Deer to take on the Rebels. Both games start at 7 p.m. The road trip ends in Calgary on Sunday as the Raiders tangle with the Hitmen. Game time is 4 p.m.
