Veljko Paunovic, Chicago Fire Head Coach On the away win "We have to take advantage of this win. There's still a long way to go and we're very aware of where we are and what we have to do. This win feels very good and it's going to help for sure to improve our performances until the end of the season."On going forward "We haven't done anything. It's just a very small step, but it's very important. It's something that we will continue building on our team and our style of play, which has to improve. I think today was a perfect game for us, best of the season so far for sure, but there's a long way to go."
On the game plan "It's always easier to say when you win that this was our game plan. For sure there are always adjustments to be made in the game. I don't want to take any credit. It's the players who have developed the plan, who have to believe and stick to the plan because it works. I think it was the players who won the game."
David Accam, Chicago Fire Forward On the performance "This was one of our best performances of the season. We played according to our plan of what we were told today. We started early wanting to put them on the back foot and pressure them. That's the main thing today."
On using this result to improve going forward "We have a good team and have no pressure on ourselves. We need to go on the pitch every day to enjoy the game and today we did. We played well, enjoyed the game and worked really hard. We just need to continue playing well and enjoy it."
Luis Solignac, Chicago Fire Forward On the team's game plan "We had a plan to stop Piatti and Drogba on counterattacks. I think our defence did really well. We also played kind of a counter-attacking style and I think it worked. David [Accam] is a fast guy and we tried to follow his stride. We executed the plan really well and the result showed that."
On the race to the playoffs "I've been in this league almost two years now and I know it's going really even near the end. We have to keep focus, not lose that track and try to win some more games."
