Quad City's David McKee Named Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (December 6, 2011) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Quad City's David McKee has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending December 4, 2011.

The Irving, Texas native played in back-to-back road starts for the Mallards, both against the Laredo Bucks. McKee faced 60 shots total, and stopped 58 of them (.967 save percentage), ending the week with a perfect 2-0 record.

The weekend started off Friday night in Laredo where McKee stopped 24 of 25 shots, shutting down the Bucks and coming out with a 4-1 win. The Mallards went on to play another game against Laredo the next night, where McKee stood on his head again, stopping 34 of the 35 shots for a 5-1 victory. He was the first star on both nights.
