QMJHL Ultramar Player of the Week

Boucherville, Que. - The Ultramar Player of the Week is, for a second consecutive time, forward Alex Barré-Boulet (Armada | Blainville-Boisbriand) who once again dominated the QMJHL by picking up nine points over four games.
The veteran enjoyed quite the sequence to do so, collecting two points or more in each of his games over the last week.
The Montmagny native was super efficient last week, scoring six times on the 18 shots he fired on opposing nets. He also scored his first hat trick of the season in a 4-2 win over the Moncton Wildcats last Thursday.
Barré-Boulet now finds himself all alone atop the Q's scoring race with an eight-point lead over Filip Zadina (Halifax | Mooseheads) thanks to his 28 goals and 26 assists, for a total of 54 points in 29 games.
He is also currently leading all QMJHL players with an incredible 1.86 point-per-game average. Should he maintain his current pace, Barré-Boulet is on track to close off the regular season with a superb total of 66 goals and 61 helpers!
Other players considered for the Ultramar Player of the Week were rookie goaltender Colten Ellis (Rimouski | Océanic) and forward Jimmy Huntington (Victoriaville | Tigres).
Ellis led the Océanic to two straight 3-2 wins last week, once in overtime over the Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and another time in the shootout versus the Victoriaville Tigres. The goaltender extended his win streak to five straight games in the process.
For his part, Huntington collected six points in three games over the past week, but he truly shined with a three-goal and two-assist outing for a total of five points - all personal bests in the QMJHL - during a 7-1 win over Sherbrooke on Friday.
