Pulock, Pelech Loaned to Sound Tigers

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The New York Islanders announced today defensemen Ryan Pulock and Adam Pelech have been loaned to Bridgeport.
Pulock, 21, played 51 games with the Sound Tigers last season and led all defensemen in goals (7), assists (17) and points (24). The third-year pro also spent 15 games with the Islanders including his NHL debut on February 28th at Edmonton. He scored his first NHL goal on March 17th at Nashville and finished the season with four points (two goals, two assists) and five penalty minutes with New York.
A native of Dauphin, Manitoba, Pulock has played 108 games with the Sound Tigers since his debut in 2014, recording 54 points (24 goals, 30 assists) and 20 penalty minutes.
The 6'2, 215-pound defenseman was originally selected in the first round (#15 overall) by the Islanders in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Pelech, 22, played 27 games with Bridgeport last season, recording seven points (two goals, five assists) and six penalty minutes. He also made nine appearances with the Islanders including his NHL debut on November 3, 2015 at Anaheim.
A native of Toronto, Pelech has notched 18 points (two goals, 16 assists) and 54 penalty minutes in 92 games with the Sound Tigers. The 6'2, 210-pound blue-liner was initially selected in the third round (65th overall) by the Islanders in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
Opening Night: The Sound Tigers celebrate the start of a new season on Saturday, October 15 by giving away free magnet schedules to the first 2,000 fans presented by the CT Department of Transportation. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the puck drops at 7 p.m. against the Providence Bruins at Webster Bank Arena. Make it a family night and enjoy the Kid Zone on the Plaza presented by Big Y.
