Professional Women's Fastpitch Softball Champs to Challenge Freedom Players

FLORENCE, KY - Individual tickets for the first event of Y'All-Star week 2016 are on sale now as the reigning National Pro Fastpitch champion Chicago Bandits are coming to UC Health Stadium.

On Monday, July 11, the Florence Freedom players will exchange 60'6" for 43', wood for aluminum, and welcome US Olympian and 3-time NPF pitcher of the year Monica Abbott and the rest of her Bandit teammates for a 'Battle of the Sexes' fastpitch softball game.

All tickets to the event are $10. First pitch is schedule for 7:05pm on July 11, gates will open at 6:05pm. Purchase tickets online here:

"The best women's softball players in the world are coming to Florence, and we'll see if the boys can hang with the champs," Freedom General Manager Josh Anderson said. "Seeing heat like that come in from 43' feet is a whole lot different than their usually at-bats."

During the softball game inning breaks, fans will be treated to performances by national entertainer 'Christopher', as seen on NBC's America's Got Talent, and his dancing manikin routines.

the Bandit players when booking a minimum group of 15 tickets, including a post-game autograph session with the Bandit players.

BANDITS SOFTBALL CAMP: In addition to the game, the Bandits will host a 90-minute softball camp for individuals interested in learning from the pros. The camp includes a ticket to the game and will take place on the field at 3pm on July 11. The camp includes a private post-clinic autograph session. Y'All-Star week continues on Tuesday, July 12 and Wednesday, July 13. The Frontier League Home Run Derby presented by Toyota will take place on July 12, and be accompanied by a Bourbon Fest on the Concourse. The Y'All-Star Game, presented by Aire Serv of Greater Cincinnati, will be played on July 13 and include performances by national entertainers Myron Noodleman, Jake the Diamond Dog and a Y'All-Star Fireworks spectacular post-game.

Individual tickets for the July 12 and 13 events will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, March 15.

Fans can guarantee Y'All-Star, Home Run Derby and opening day tickets before they go on sale to the general public by purchasing season tickets, or a group outing starting at 16 people.

The Freedom, presented by Titan Mechanical Solutions, are members of the Independent Professional Frontier League and play a 96 game schedule with 48 regular season home games at UC Health Stadium, located at 7950 Freedom Way in Florence, Kentucky.
