Beloit Sky Carp News Release
BELOIT, Wisc. - The Beloit Snappers return home on Tuesday, August 11th for six games total, three games against the South Bend Cubs and three games against the West Michigan Whitecaps.
On the mornings of Tuesday, August 11th and Wednesday, August 12th from 9:00 AM-Noon the Snappers players and coaches will be coaching the last Snappers Baseball Camp of the year, open for kids ages 7-14. The camp is $55 for each child.
Every Tuesday home game is Two Dollar Tuesday. General Admission Tickets, Hot Dogs, Brats, Pizza, 12 oz. draft Miller Products, and Fountain Soft Drinks can all be purchased for just $2, courtesy of Uncommon Cents Investing!
Wednesday will be our fourth and next to last Tap Takeover! It will feature the Chicago based, Finch's Brewery! Fans over the age of 21 can purchase a General Admission ticket and unlimited samples of Finch's beers on our left field deck. It will be a Chicago themed night, with Finch's Brewery taking over the left field deck and the Snappers playing the South Bend Cubs (Class-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs)! It is also Middle Child Night. Three siblings will be able to get in for the price of two.
Our last Flat Screen Thursday will be on August 13th! It will be your last chance to register to win a new 40 inch flat screen tv, courtesy of Sam's Club. The TV will be given away during the seventh inning stretch. You can also play Ballpark Bingo and get some great prizes, thanks to Grand Avenue Pub. Fans can enter to win the TV and get their bingo cards at the Grommes Millwork Fan Services Booth in the concourse.
Friday will be an eventful night at Pohlman Field as the 2015 Team Photo will be given away to early arrivals, sponsored by El Tiempo Spanish Newspaper. Fans will also be able to meet and get autographs from the last pitcher to win 30 or more games in a MLB season.
After the game on Friday, there will be a great fireworks show, courtesy of Rock Energy Cooperative. The fireworks date was originally supposed to be on June 20th as a celebration of Snappy's birthday. We even let Snappy pick out the fireworks soundtrack! Since that game was rained out, we told Snappy that we would reschedule it for Friday, August 14th!
There will be another amazing fireworks show after the game on Saturday night as well, sponsored by Suds O'Hanahan's Irish Pub, Senz Insurance, and Monahan & Johnson, S.C.! This one will have a Country themed music soundtrack.
The home stand ends on Sunday, August 16th with Princess Day. We invite for all the little princesses to dress up! There will be a petting zoo, a tea party, nail painting, and face painting along with story book princesses, super heroes, and Miss Beloit! There will also be a Princess Parade before the game at 1:15 PM.
Every Sunday home game fans can get bottles of Leinenkugel's for just $2. After the game, kids will be able to run the bases and play catch in the outfield, courtesy of Mercy Health System.
All the games this homestand are at 7:00 PM and the gates open at 6:00 PM with the exception of Sunday. Sunday's game will start at 2:00 PM and the gates will open at 1:00 PM.
The Snappers are 43-66 on the year and 17-22 in the second half. The Snappers return to Pohlman Field Tuesday, August 11th for a six game home stand that will go through Sunday, August 16th. To buy tickets, stop by the office or call (608) 362-2272. Stay tuned to www.snappersbaseball.com and the Snappers' Facebook and Twitter accounts for all up to date news.
