Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, SK - Three goals in the first period by the Moose Jaw Warriors proved to be the difference as they defeated the Prince Albert Raiders 4-2 in Game 2 of their first round best-of-seven series on Saturday night at the Art Hauser Centre.

The Raiders received goals from Tim Vanstone during the second period and Vojtech Budik in the final frame. The goal by Budik cut the deficit to one, but Prince Albert was unable to tie the score.

The Warriors' line of Jayden Halbgewachs, Brett Howden, and Tanner Jeannot was dangerous in the first period as they each registered a goal and two assists for three points. Team captain Brayden Point rounded out the scoring with a marker mid-way through the third period.

Prince Albert goaltender Rylan Parenteau made 26 saves on 30 shots, while Zach Sawchenko turned away 36 of 38 attempts in the Moose Jaw net.

The Raiders outshot the Warriors 38-30. Prince Albert went 0-for-6 on the power play, while Moose Jaw was 0-for-5.

The Warriors lead the best-of-seven series 2-0.
