October 28, 2017 - North American Soccer League (NASL)
Jacksonville Armada FC News Release

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Armada FC is preparing for the final match of the Fall Season on the road against the San Francisco Deltas. If Jacksonville can walk away with a win, the team has the potential of clinching the final seed to the NASL postseason tournament, the Championship. That can only happen if the New York Cosmos lose their final match on Saturday though.

Saturday will be the fourth meeting in history between San Francisco and Jacksonville. The teams have drawn twice in Jacksonville, and the Armada FC won once in May when the team visited San Francisco. The last meeting took place in Jacksonville though and they played to a 1-1 draw to open up the Fall Season on July 30. Jack Blake notched the goal for the Armada FC in the 35th minute by converting a penalty kick. Danny Cruz found the equalizer for the Deltas in the 58th minute.

Jacksonville is coming off a wild 4-4 draw with the New York Cosmos at home. It was the second time Jacksonville scored four goals in a match this year. Zach Steinberger opened up the scoring for Jacksonville only four minutes into the match, but New York was quick to answer and found the first equalizer three minutes later. Drew Beckie and Kalen Ryden each found their first goals of the season before the end of the first half to put Jacksonville up 3-1. New York then answered again with three goals in the second half, before Charles Eloundou found the final equalizer in the 79th minute.

San Francisco is on a 10-match unbeaten streak. The most recent result for the team came Saturday against North Carolina FC on the road. North Carolina put away the first goal in the first half. The Deltas equalized through Pablo Dyego in the 68th minute after a disallowed goal for offsides five minutes before.
