PrairieThunder suffers 6-1 loss to Muskegon

Bill Zalba and David Segal each scored two points to lead the Muskegon Fury to a 6-1 International Hockey League victory over the Bloomington PrairieThunder at U.S, Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington before 2,510 people Thursday night.
The loss was the first in regulation in eight games for the PrairieThunder (25-32-2-3), which dropped 10 points behind the Fury for the fourth and final post-season playoff berth. The two teams meet again Friday at 7:05 p.m. in Bloomington.
Muskegon (31-27-3-2) took a 1-0 lead in the second period on Dan Riedel's goal with 12:18 remaining with assists going to Adam Bartholomay and Robin Bouchard.
Bloomington tied the game 19 seconds later on Neil Clark's goal off assists by John Nail and Adam Edinger.
The Fury took the lead for good with 1:48 remaining in the second period on Zalba's goal. Assists went to Sheldon Wing and Segal.
Segal gave the Fury a 3-1 lead with a goal with 14:02 remaining in the third period with an assist to Philippe Plante. Billy Collins and Cassidy Preston added goals in the third period before Zalba scored his second goal with 4:17 remaining in the game.
Muskegon goalie Clayton Pool earned the win by stopping 28 of 29 shots. The Fury owned a 32-29 advantage in shots.
