Toledo Walleye News Release

(TOLEDO, OH) - As of today, the Toledo Walleye ticket department has already pre-sold 101,785 tickets for the 2011-12 season.

Furthermore, nearly 2,200 season tickets have already been sold for the 2011-12 season. This currently ranks the Walleye fourth out of 20 teams in the ECHL in season tickets sold.

The Walleye finished the 2009-10 season with 2,160 season tickets sold and finished the 2010-11 season with 2,335 season tickets sold. The team anticipates that they will surpass last year's total.

With the start of the hockey season less than a month away, the fans have shown strong support for the team in their third season.

Assistant General Manager/Ticket Sales & Operations Erik Ibsen said, "The support shown for your Toledo Walleye has been tremendous. We look forward to the third season downtown at the Huntington Center and the number of pre-sold tickets (over 100,000) translates into a great start to the upcoming season. With only two home games in October, we will continue to sell ticket plans into November."

Single-game tickets for the 2011-12 season are also available now by phone (419) 725-WALL or online at www.toledowalleye.com. Opening Night (October 15) tickets are still available as well.
