Popugaev Selected to Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

Moose Jaw Warriors 18-year-old forward Nikita Popugaev has been named to Team Orr for the 2017 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game.
Popugaev, 6'5"/202lbs, is from Moscow, Russia and currently in his second season with the Moose Jaw Warriors. Through 31 games he has 20 goals and 42 points and sits 8th in WHL scoring and is tied for the top scoring import player in the league.
In his rookie season last year he had 16 goals and 47 points in 70 games, and he had two goals and four points in six playoff games. He was selected by the Warriors in the 1st round, 22nd overall, in the 2015 CHL Import Draft, in 101 regular season games Popugaev has 36 goals and 89 points.
The 40 CHL players competing in the game were chosen by all 30 NHL clubs and divided into teams by NHL Central Scouting. This year's event is the 22nd annual showcase of the CHL's top-40 NHL Draft eligible players from the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
The 2017 Sherwin-Williams CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be Monday, January 30th, 2017 in Quebec City.
