October 27, 2012 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Toronto Argonauts News Release

Toronto - For the first time since 2007, football fans in Toronto will get a chance to cheer on their boys in Double Blue at home in mid-November. The Toronto Argonauts have now secured a home playoff date in the 100th Grey Cup Playoffs as they will host the Eastern Semi-Final on Sunday, November 11 at 1:00 p.m. ET at Rogers Centre!

The Argonauts will finish the 2012 CFL regular season in second place in the East Division standings and will host either the Hamilton Tiger-Cats or the fourth place team from the West Division. The Boatmen have one regular season game left - a home match against Hamilton on November 1.

The Argos last made the playoffs in 2010 as the third place seed and stormed all the way to the East Final, just one game away from the Grey Cup. Prior to that, Toronto was home to the 2007 East Final which was the same year the city hosted the 95th Grey Cup game.

Scott Milanovich will make his playoff debut as a first year head coach, and this will be the eighth time since 2002 that the Argonauts have reached the post-season. There are still 17 players on the 2012 roster that suited up for the Argonauts in the 2007 East Final.

Argos playoff tickets are now on-sale and can be purchased by calling 416-341-ARGO or visiting ticketmaster.ca. Information is available by visiting argonauts.ca.
