Playoff Experience and Scoring Punch Added with Acquisition of Aubin

DULUTH, Ga. - The Atlanta Gladiators have traded forward Alex Carrier to the Allen Americans for forward Mathieu Aubin, the team announced Sunday.

Aubin (pronounced AWW-bann), 31, brings over 600 professional games played and 98 career playoff appearances to the Gladiators lineup. The Sorel, PQ native has registered 487 points (192-295-487) in 592 games in the ECHL with Cincinnati, Bakersfield, Utah and Allen. The former Montreal Canadiens draft pick has won two Kelly Cup Championships with the Cincinnati Cyclones under current Atlanta head coach, Chuck Weber in 2008 and 2010. The former Cyclones captain has 93 postseason appearances in the ECHL with a total of 61 points (25-36-61). The 6-foot-3, 190-pound forward has two seasons where he notched an ECHL career high 68 points, 2011-12 with Cincinnati (62 games) and 2014-15 with Utah (72 games). The 12th-year-pro has skated in 83 AHL games amassing 27 points (12-15-27) with Hamilton, Lake Erie, Bridgeport, Milwaukee and Houston.
