A superb effort by Jamin McCann led the Pittsfield Suns (17-26) to an 11-0 win over the Worcester Bravehearts (30-15) on Tuesday at Wahconah Park.
McCann got the win for the Pittsfield Suns thanks to 10 strikeouts. The Pittsfield Suns' pitcher gave up just two hits over eight shutout innings.
The offense exploded for the the Pittsfield Suns in the fourth. The Pittsfield Suns' bats caught fire leading to eight runs. The Pittsfield Suns scored in the fourth on, an error, a two-run double by Al Zachary, a two-run single by Colin Gimblet, an RBI single by Colin Ridley, and an RBI single by Chris Cimmino.
Zachary racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Pittsfield Suns.
Trey Schramm (0-2) took the loss for the Worcester Bravehearts. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked three and struck out one.
