Pigs Try to Close Regular Season with Win

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to close out the regular season on a positive note when they host the Rochester Red Wings on Monday afternoon at 1:35 p.m. from Coca-Cola Park.
RHP David Buchanan (9-9, 4.15) will toe the rubber for the IronPigs in the regular season finale. Buchanan earned the win on Wednesday vs. Pawtucket when he gave up three runs (two earned) on seven hits while walking two and fanning two in seven innings of work. The right-hander is 1-0 with a 3.18 ERA in three starts against Rochester this season.
LHP David Hurlbut (0-1, 2.45) gets the ball for Rochester opposite Buchanan. Hurlbut's last start came on Tuesday vs. Syracuse when he allowed one hit while walking one and fanning one over two shutout innings before departing due to injury. The southpaw was 7-7 with a 3.51 ERA in 23 GS with Double-A Chattanooga this season.
Monday is Fan Appreciation Day and $1 hot dogs, $2 popcorn and $2 fountain sodas will be available throughout the game. There will also be an appearance by the Phillie Phanatic. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
