UPCOMING OPPONENTS
Friday, December 21 - Phantoms vs. Hershey Bears, 7:05: This will be the fourth installment in the dozen-game season series between the Phantoms and the Bears (Washington Capitals). The Phantoms beat the Bears on their home ice two weeks ago by a score of 3-2. Stefan Ruzicka, Pete Zingoni and Boyd Kane all found the net in that game. Hershey was scheduled to play Binghamton yesterday, but the game was postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams will now meet on Wednesday at GIANT Center.
PHANTOMS RESET
The Phantoms are 19-8-1-0 for 39 points. Placements are as follows:
East Division - 1st place, five points ahead of Albany
Eastern Conference - 3rd place, one point behind Hartford and nine points behind Providence
Overall AHL - tied for fifth place with Chicago
Last year's team did not reach 39 points until January 27 and did not win its 19th game until February 16.

2004-05 Calder Cup Team - 21-5-1-0, 43 points
1997-98 Calder Cup Team - 17-6-1-4, 39 points
1996-97 (team finished with the best overall record in team history) - 17-5-2-4, 40 points
CHRISTMAS WITH THE PHANTOMS
The Phantoms are getting ready to spread joy and love for the holidays, but not before they spread some other sentiments on Friday night when they host the Hershey Bears in their lone remaining game before the Christmas break. Fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, and Santa Claus will be on the concourse to take those last-minute Christmas requests! The game starts at 7:05 and tickets are available at the Wachovia Center box office, online at www.comcasttix .com or by phone at 800-298-4200. Visit phantomshockey.com for more details!
PHANTOMS LEND A HELPING HAND
On Sunday evening, the Phantoms helped raise $4,600 for the Children's Miracle Network at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia through the sale of Helping Hands handprint cards. The entire Phantoms roster and selected Flyers players made handprints on 11x17 cards, which were then framed and auctioned off throughout the night.
PICARD CALLED UP
Alexandre Picard was recalled to the Flyers last week for the first time this season. Picard played in two Flyers games over the weekend against Carolina and New Jersey, averaging 13:11 of ice time.
MUNROE TOUGH TO BEAT
Scott Munroe jumped to the top of the AHL goaltending rankings with his 25-save shutout in Norfolk on Saturday night. It was his second shutout of the season and the team's sixth overall. Munroe starts the week as the top-ranked goaltender in the AHL with a 1.95 goals-against average. His save percentage of .925 is fourth-best in the AHL.
SPECIAL TEAMS STORMING ON
Philadelphia's penalty kill currently leads the AHL at 87.6 percent, while the power play is fourth at 21.1 percent. The combination gives the Phantoms the best overall special teams unit in the league.

The Phantoms are the place to look for that last-minute gift for the hard-to-buy-for hockey fan in your life!
