Phantoms Haunted by Former Player

Youngstown Phantoms News Release
YOUNGSTOWN, OH - An extra frame of hockey was not enough between the Youngstown Phantoms and Muskegon Lumberjacks as the 'Jacks were able to come away victorious 2-1 in the shootout.
The first period saw no scoring as both teams were dead even as they tried to figure each other out, but the Phantoms would dominate the second frame outshooting the Lumberjacks 12-9 in the period. The Phantoms efforts would pay off as Connor MacEachern would net his first USHL goal at the 7:31 mark and the Phantoms would carry that 1-0 lead through the rest of the second and through the majority of the third period.
Muskegon pulled their netminder Bussi for the extra man as time winded down, and former Phantom Jagger Joshua was able to get Muskegon on the board with 49 seconds remaining in regulation as he was able to redirect a shot right in front of Phantoms netminder Jon Mor.
The overtime period would see plenty of chances for both sides but would see no scoring and a shootout was needed.
All three Phantoms would be stopped on their attempts and Bobby Lynch would score in the shootout for the 'Jacks giving them the victory.
These same two teams are at it again tomorrow at the Covelli Centre. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05pm. Broadcasts are available on both Western Reserve Radio and HockeyTV.
