Phantoms Announce Roster Moves

Adirondack Phantoms have made three separate roster moves today as announced by the Philadelphia Flyers and general manager Paul Holmgren.

Kyle Flanagan (C) has been signed by the Philadelphia Flyers' organization and has been assigned to Adirondack on an Amateur Tryout contract (ATO).

Harry Zolnierczyk (LW) has been recalled from loan by Philadelphia.

Cal Heeter (G) has been reassigned from the Trenton Titans (ECHL) to Adirondack.

Kyle Flanagan, 24 (12/30/1988), is a 5-9, 170lb free agent who recently completed his senior season at St. Lawrence University (ECAC) in his hometown of Canton, NY. He recorded 15 goals and 32 assists for 47 points over the course of 35 games in his final year, which was his second as a captain of the Saints. Over the course of his four-year career with St. Lawrence, Flanagan scored 46 goals and added 101 assists for 147 points in 134 games. This evening, Flanagan was also named a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the top collegiate player of the 2012-13 season.

Harry Zolnierczyk, 25, returns to the Flyers on another call-up. He is in his second full season of professional hockey out of Brown University. This year he has played in 52 games with the Phantoms scoring 9-8-17. He also has played 6 games with Philadelphia this year notching one assist. Last season, "Harry Z" split his campaign evenly between the Phantoms and the Flyers. The Toronto native played in 39 games with Adirondack scoring 8-13-21 and he also played in 37 games with Philadelphia scoring 3-3-6.

Cal Heeter, 24, is a rookie goaltender from St. Louis, Missouri who joined the Flyers' organization out of Ohio State. In his different stretches with Trenton in the ECHL this season he has played in eight games going 3-3-0, 3.18, .900. Heeter has spent most of the season with Adirondack playing in 24 games going 8-13-2, 2.96, .906.

Flanagan and Heeter are both eligible to play in Adirondack next game on Saturday night at Connecticut.

Zolnierczyk is eligible to play in Philadelphia's next game on Sunday against Pittsburgh.
