The scene is set for Round 1 of the 2015 Coastal Plain League Petitt Cup Playoffs. The Wilmington Sharks (29-24, 15-12) have drawn the 2 seed in the CPL East, and are set to face off with the 3 seed, the Peninsula Pilots (28-24, 13-14).
Wilmington and Peninsula split their regular season series 1-1, while the Sharks outscored the Pilots 16-12. Each of the meetings was in late July, with the most recent game being a 13-7 Sharks victory in Hampton.
Game 1 will be on Wednesday, August 5th at War Memorial Stadium in Hampton, VA in a best of three series. Game 2 will be at the Shark Tank on Thursday, August 6th. Wilmington will host Game 3 if a rubber match is necessary.
Please note - unused general admission tickets from the regular season can be used for admission to a playoff game. Reserved tickets from games cancelled due to weather can be exchanged for the best available ticket.
