Petes Hang on to Take Down Gens

(Peterborough, ON) - The Peterborough Petes earned their second win in as many nights, taking down the rival Generals 2-1 in Oshawa on Friday night.

Oshawa opened scoring before Brady Hinz (5) scored in the first period, while Declan Chisholm (1) got his first of the season in the second.

Chisholm, Cameron Butler, Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, and Pavel Gogolev all recorded single assists.

Hunter Jones stopped 45 of 46 shots. He leads the OHL in wins (7), minutes (479), shots (287), and saves (269).

The Petes improve to a league-best 7-2-0-0 record.

The Petes play their third game in as many days on Saturday, October 13 at 7:05pm when they host the Windsor Spitfires as part of Alumni Homecoming presented by Gibson's Finest Canadian Whisky. The 1979 Memorial Cup Champion Petes will be honoured in a special pre-game ceremony, and more than 65 alumni are expected to be in attendance for the game.
