Petes Announce Hiring of New Sales & Marketing Interns

Peterborough, ON-Post-Secondary students Josh Hopkinson, Jamie Dugan, and Victoria Reid will be joining the Peterborough Petes organization for the remainder of the season working alongside the business operations team. These individuals will be tasked with helping grow the Petes brand and improving customer service throughout the 2016/2017 season.
Hopkinson, a Peterborough, Ontario native, graduated from Fleming College in 2013 with a General Arts & Science Diploma, and is currently in his final year of studies at Durham College enrolled in the Sports Administration & Management Program. He has previously worked with Bring Back the Game as their Sponsorship & Registration Coordinator. He has also volunteered with the OHL as an Off-Ice Official at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
"I am extremely excited to join such an historic organization and look forward to the next few months with the team. I feel my past experience and business skills will be a valuable asset to the organization and feel this opportunity can only be a great benefit for my future," noted Hopkinson.
Reid was born in Belleville, Ontario and graduated from Loyalist College in 2016 in the Business Sales & Marketing Program. She is currently a Loyalist College student in the Post-Graduate Sports and Entertainment Sales and Marketing program, and also worked for the Centennial Classic as well as the World Cup of Hockey in 2016.
"I am looking forward to bringing my prior knowledge of sales and marketing into the organization and expanding upon it working alongside the Peterborough Petes throughout my time with the team," explained Reid.
Dugan is a Brampton native that graduated from Fleming College in 2008 with a Police Foundations degree, and has since worked for Fairmont Hotels in Lake Louise and Montreal in a variety of positions as well as Event Management in trade-show registration across North America. He has since worked events for the World Cup of Hockey and is currently enrolled in the Post-Graduate Sports and Entertainment Sales and Marketing Program at Loyalist College.
"I am extremely excited to begin my transition into my sports career with the historic Petes franchise. Growing up idolizing Tie Domi, it is a true honour to be a part of such a distinguished OHL team," reflected Dugan
"The Petes are excited to welcome Josh, Victoria and Jamie to our business operations team," commented Executive Director of Business Operations, Burton Lee. "They bring unique skills and experiences to our organization, and we are confident that they will benefit tremendously from their time with the Petes."
