The Arkansas Travelers have completed the lineup of special guests for the Hot Stove set for Thursday, January 31 at the Embassy Suites of Little Rock. Los Angeles Angels center fielder and former Traveler Peter Bourjos will be attending the festivities to round out the list along with Angels assistant GM Scott Servais, Travs manager Tim Bogar and former New York Yankees second baseman Bobby Richardson. Tickets to the event are just $20 and can be purchased by calling the Travs office at (501) 664-1555 or be emailing Travs@Travs.com. Fans are encouraged to contact the Travs office soon as ticket availability is limited.
Each hot stove ticket includes admission to the event and a plate dinner. There will be a cash bar available. The event begins at 6:00 with a cocktail hour before dinner is served at 7:00. The featured speakers will begin the program at 7:30. Bourjos will be available to meet fans after the speakers' conclude their programs.
Bourjos, widely regarded as one of the best defensive outfielders in baseball, is the first current Major League player to attend the Travs Hot Stove during the Angels' affiliation. The 25-year old has three years of Major League experience with the Angels since his debut in 2010 and is expected to get the Halos' center field job for the 2013 season. Bourjos owns a .247 batting average along with 21 home runs and 118 runs scored in 299 games with the Angels. During his first full season with the Angels in 2011 he led the American League with 11 triples and ranked second with ten outfield assists. He wowed Travs fans during 2009 season as the club's everyday center fielder and leadoff batter in 110 games.
