PENSACOLA, FL -- Austin Riley hit home runs in the third inning of both games while Joe Odom and Wes Parsons followed suit in game two, but the Blue Wahoos battled back to sweep the doubleheader 4-3 and 6-5. Reydel Medina hit a three-run shot for Pensacola in game two.

In game one, Mississippi (20-43, 54-79) scored early with Jared James drawing a walk to the begin the game and scoring one batter later on a double by Austin Riley. Pensacola (31-34, 71-64) answered with three runs in the bottom of the second when Touki Toussaint gave up three walks before allowing a bases-clearing double to Arismendy Alcantara, giving the Blue Wahoos a 3-1 lead.

Riley blasted a solo homer with one out in the third to make it 3-2. In the fifth, Joey Meneses and Travis Demeritte singled and Keith Curcio walked to load the bases. Toussaint then drew a walk to bring home the tying run. The Blue Wahoos scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth as Gavin LaValley doubled to lead off and scored with two outs on a single to right by Jonathan Reynoso.

Just as they did in game one, Mississippi scored in the top of the first to take an early lead in game two. It was Joe Odom who picked up the RBI-single, scoring Dylan Moore who had reached on a one-out single. It was déjà vu for Riley in game two when, in the top of the third with one out, he hit a solo homer over the left field wall.

In the top of the fourth with two outs, Wes Parsons got in on the power game, hitting a 1-1 pitch over the left field wall to give the M-Braves a 3-0 lead. Pensacola tied the game in the fourth with a three-run homer by Medina. The other two runners had reached via walk to Gabriel Guerrero and Jonathan Reynoso fielder's choice.

The home run derby continued in the fifth with Odom hitting a solo shot with one out to put Mississippi back out front 4-3. The lead was short lived as Pensacola plated a run in the bottom of the inning when LaValley singled with one out and scored on Alcantara's triple to tie the game again at 4-4.

The score remained tied as the scheduled seventh inning came and went. Mississippi took the lead in the top of the 10th as Demeritte singled to lead off and scored on a throwing error on a slow roller up the third base line by Odom.

Pensacola answered and took the win in the bottom of the 10th with a one-out double by Gabriel Guerrero. He scored on a single by Reynoso, who took second on a throw to the plate. Reynoso then stole third and scored the winning run when Joe Hudson reached on an error.

The Braves used four pitchers in the game with Parsons starting and going five innings. He allowed four runs on five hits with one walk and five strikeouts. Josh Graham and Jacob Webb both worked two frames, each allowing one hit. Graham walked two while Webb walked one and recorded four strikeouts. Corbin Clouse pitched the final 1.2 innings, allowing two runs on three hits with a walk and one strikeout.
