PawSox Rained out in Rochester

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Pawtucket Red Sox debut of Jackie Bradley Jr. will have to wait another day.

Friday's scheduled series opener between the PawSox and Rochester Red Wings was postponed by rain. The game is slated to made up as part of a doubleheader at 12:05 p.m. on Sunday. As a result, the opening game of Pawtucket's eight-day road trip is now set for 1:05 p.m. on Saturday.

Bradley was optioned to the PawSox when their parent club in Boston activated David Ortiz from the disabled list. Ortiz homered in his final at-bat of an injury-rehabilitation assignment in Pawtucket on Thursday.

In Friday's lineup, Bradley was leading off and playing center field. Also Friday, knuckleballer Charlie Haeger was scheduled to make his first start with the PawSox.

Coverage of Saturday's contest begins at 12:50 p.m., followed by PawSox Insider on 920 WHJJ in Providence and the PawSox Radio Network.
