Partridge Earns IFL Honors

DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers quarterback Travis Partridge was named the Indoor Football League's Offensive Player of the Week for Week 12, the League announced today.
Partridge (6'4, 245, Missouri Western State) earned IFL Offensive Player of the Week Honors after a dominating performance against the Green Bay Blizzard in Week 12, which earned the Barnstormers their sixth straight victory. With just three seconds remaining in the game, Partridge bulldozed his way into the end zone to give the Barnstormers the 41-34 victory over the Blizzard. Partridge was the key to Iowa's offense all night long as his game-winning touchdown run was his fifth rushing touchdown of the night, tying for most in the IFL in 2017. Partridge finished his night rushing 17 times for 77 yards and five touchdowns. Partridge now leads the IFL in rushing touchdowns with a total of 14.
Partridge and the Barnstormers will return home this Saturday, May 13 as they face in-state rivals the Cedar Rapids Titans at Wells Fargo Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The Barnstormers will be hosting their Second Annual Motorcycle Ride and Tailgate. The tailgate is open to all fans beginning at 4:00 p.m. and will feature live music from Alice Unchained and Food Truck options from SFC the Yellow Wagon, Roadside Tacos, and Outside Scoop.
The Indoor Football League awarded linebacker Tyler Knight of the Sioux Falls Storm with Defensive Player of the Week, while kicker Tyrell Pearson of the Green Bay Blizzard earned Special Teams Player of the Week.
The Barnstormers return to Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday May 13 to face the Cedar Rapids Titans for the third and final in-state matchup of the season.
