Panthers Recall Yonkman, Reassign Robak to Rampage

SUNRISE, FL (February 18, 2012) - Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that D Nolan Yonkman has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). In addition, D Colby Robak has been reassigned to SanAntonio (AHL).
Yonkman, 30, leads San Antonio with a plus-14 rating in 43 games this season, depositing nine points (1-8-9) and 91 PIM. The 6-foot-6, 251-pound captain of the Rampage has totaled ninepoints (1-8-9) and 129 PIM in 66 NHL games during parts of four NHL seasonswith Washington and Phoenix, most recently as a member of the Coyotes during the 2010-11 season. The native of Punnichy, Sask., was selected by the Capitals in the second round (37th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
Robak, 21, totaled a plus-1 rating in three games with the Panthers since being recalled on Feb. 11, including a plus-2 rating in his NHL debut at the Islanders on Feb. 12. In 48 games with San Antonio this season, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound defenseman has posted 25 points (7-18-25) and 22 PIM. The Dauphin, Man., native represented the Rampage at the 2012 AHL All-Star Game in Atlantic City earlier this season and was originally selected by Florida in the second round (46th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The Rampage play the second game of a back-to-back series with the Texas Stars tonight at 7 p.m. at Cedar Park Center. They will travel to Oklahoma City tomorrow to face the Barons at 4 p.m. at Cox Convention Center. To follow the team's progress on the road, visit sarampage.com.
