FRISCO, Texas - Houston Astros rehabbers Max Stassi and Lance McCullers Jr. led the way for the Corpus Christi Hooks as they defeated the Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, 10-3 Wednesday night at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
BIG MOMENTS The Hooks surged out to a 3-0 lead three batters into the contest with an RBI double from Kyle Tucker and a two-run homer from Max Stassi, who homered again in the third inning. Trailing 4-0, the Riders scored twice in the bottom of the third on an RBI double from Luis Marte and a RBI single from Michael O'Neill. Aside from Stassi's two home runs, Corpus Christi's Jamie Ritchie and Ramon Laureano also went deep. Houston Astros rehabber Lance McCullers Jr. earned the victory, striking out two over five innings of two-run ball. The righthander walked two and allowed five hits. KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

Scott Heineman extended his hitting streak to 11 games and his on-base streak to 17 games with a double in the sixth inning. The 11-game hitting streak ties his longest this season (April 6-20). With four more long balls allowed Wednesday, Riders pitching has yielded 44 homers in 30 games against Corpus Christi this year, including four games with at least four roundtrippers. Riders reliever Connor Sadzeck worked 1 2/3 scoreless innings Wednesday. He has not permitted a run in six of his last nine appearances after allowing scoring in nine of his previous 11 games.
