Springfield concluded the 2016 NAHL Entry Draft selecting 12 players from a variety of locations and leagues highlighted by the selection of 2 former players, Devin Cooley and Danny DiGrande. Other selections include 2 players who attended Draft Camp, Connor Matsinger and Brian Sanzone, and the selection of a Swedish player John Lackdal.

Round 1/Pick 12 -  Devin Cooley

Position: G

Height 6'3"

Weight 150

Current Team: Muskegon Lumberjacks

Cooley was a Springfield Jr. Blues tender last year before getting called up to play for the Muskegon Lumberjacks. He played in 19 games for Muskegon last season earning a 6-6 record

Round 2/Pick 36 - Danny DiGrande

Position: C

Height - 5'10"

Weight - 163

Current Team- Muskegon Lumberjacks

Digrande played in 5 games with Springfield last season, scoring 5 points before being called up to the Muskegon Lumberjacks. In 37 games with the Lumberjacks he scored 7 points including 7 goals.
