San Rafael Pacifics News Release
The San Rafael Pacifics announced today that the Pacifics and Sonoma Stompers will take part in a unique home-and-home double header on July 3rd. The Pacifics will host the first of the two seven inning games at 11:30 AM at Albert Park, as they'll invite Pacifics fans to celebrate the 4th of July a day early. The second game of the double-header will take place in Sonoma at 5 PM.
The Pacifics will honor Sonoma tickets from the night game for free admission at Albert Park for the day game, and vice versa.
"We're going to invite our fans to celebrate the Marin County Fair, the great tradition of baseball, and American independence with a good old fashioned cow-milking contest presented by Dominic Grossi," said Pacifics President and General Manager Mike Shapiro. "We're very excited to be able to have 4th of July baseball back at Albert Park for this season."
Fans will also have the opportunity to win tickets to the Marin County Fair, take part in a pie eating contest with Pacifics players presented by Mamie's Pies, and fans with the Marin County Fair App on their phone will receive discounted tickets at the front gate.
The double header will be played to make up the Pacifics June 16 game that was postponed due to a lighting failure at Albert Park. Those fans with tickets to the June 16 Pacifics game may use them for the July 3 game or any other scheduled Pacifics game in 2016.
