San Rafael Pacifics News Release
San Rafael, CA - The modern baseball landscape in the United States is defined by immigrants. From Latin America to the Far East and anywhere in between, baseball is not just America's pastime, it is a global game. Through all social, economic, and ethnic differences, baseball is a game that can bond people of uncommon backgrounds together in support of a common cause.
During the 2017 season, the San Rafael Pacifics will be celebrating the theme of immigrants and baseball through our "My Immigrant Story" collection presented by Canal Alliance.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for baseball fans to share with the Marin County community stories about their immigrant backgrounds and experiences and how they relate to baseball." said Pacifics President and General Manager Mike Shapiro. "We want to celebrate the diversity of this community and its connection to the game of baseball through storytelling and reminiscence."
