Oxford City Football Club Announces Expansion of Sports Portfolio To Mexico

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla., May 28, 2015 - Oxford City Football Club, Inc. (OXFC) is excited to announce their ownership interest in Soles De Sonora in Mexico. Soles De Sonora has professional teams in both the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) and Futbol Rapido Professional (LMFR-Pro).

This expansion to Mexico is an example of the exciting times ahead for Oxford City FC globally. Soles De Sonora is now an official direct affiliate of Oxford City FC in England and will broaden the global reach of the clubs to not only identify and develop players, but to offer them the highest level of training and the opportunity to play in England for Oxford City FC.

Soles De Sonora will be the gateway to Mexico & South America for Oxford City. The team will wear the 132 year old Oxford City Crest and will carry on the long tradition of excellence. CEO of Oxford City FC Thomas Anthony Guerriero said, " Establishing this partnership with Rogelio Enrique Cota Gutierrez and Soles De Sonora is a historic moment for both organizations. We are very excited to work closely together to bring a Championship to Sonora, while establishing a gateway for Oxford City FC in England to find talent in Mexico and South America for many years to come."

The Soles de Sonora (English: "Sonora Suns") are a Mexican professional soccer franchise based in Hermosillo capital city of the northwestern state of Sonora. The team plays in the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). The team is also a member of the Liga Mexicana de Futbol Rapido Profesional (LMFR-Pro). The team plans to play its home games at the Centro de Usos Multiples, an 8,600-seat arena in Hermosillo.
