Erie, Pennsylvania - The Erie Otters are pleased to announce the selection of Allan McShane of the Toronto Marlboros with their first round selection, nineteenth overall.

"I am very pleased to be selected by the Erie Otters," McShane said. "I know their history; they do a great job of producing players for the next level. I'm excited to start a new chapter in my career and I hope to do my best for the Otters."

Allan McShane, 5'10", 183-pounds, captained the Toronto Marlboros in his 30 game season and recorded 30 goals and 58 points. The Barrie, Ontario native won a silver medal with Canada at the Lillehammer 2016 Youth Olympics, where he recorded four goals and six points in six games played.

"We love this kid's on-ice presence," Otters General Manager Dave Brown said. "Allan plays with pace and forces opponents to compete. We highly value leadership and determination, and selecting Allan ensures those traits continue in the Erie Otters organization."
