November 4, 2008 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Erie Otters News Release

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League return to action with a mid-week encounter against the Barrie Colts tomorrow (Wednesday) night at 7 p.m. at the Tullio Arena.

UPMC Health Plan, General Partitions, Meineke, Dusckas Martin Funeral Home, Wendy's, Bay Valley Foods and Star 104 presents Hockey for the Hungry Night in support of the Second Harvest Food Bank with fans receiving a free ticket to the game (maximum four) for each non-perishable food item donated.

Otters Hockey for the Hungry collection bins are located at the Otters Office (809 French Street), Wendy's (I-90, Peach St., French St. and Edinboro locations), the Eastside YMCA and Bethel Christian School (located at 1781 West 38th St.) leading up to the game. In addition, tomorrow morning (Wednesday) the Second Harvest Food Bank and Star 104 will be collecting non-perishable food items in front of the Boston Store from 7 a.m. until noon. Items will also be accepted prior to the game in the Civic Center Box Office Lobby. Each person who donates at any location will receive a free ticket coupon redeemable at the Civic Center Box Office.

The Otters enter the game coming off a split of their two-game trip through Northern Ontario to move to 7-9-1-0 on the season and 5-3 in their last eight games played.

Mike Cazzola paced the Otters offensively during the two-game road trip with a goal in each of the games. The rookie forward has collected three goals in nine games this season. Justin Hodgman also registered a two-point weekend with a goal and an assist in a 4-2 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds. With the pair of points the overage forward assumed a share of the team scoring lead with fellow overager Brandon Biggers. Both players have 14 points on the season.

The Colts, 7-8-1-0 on the season and winners of only three of their last 10, make their only visit of the season to the Tullio Arena. Barrie won the previous meeting between the two teams 5-1 back on October 11th in Barrie.

Stefan Della Rovere leads Barrie in scoring with 14 goals and seven assists for 21 points in 15 games. The 18 year-old forward, who's 14 goals represent more than one-third of Barrie's total goals this year (42), is in the midst of an eight-game point-scoring streak (8-3-11).

Wednesday's game can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 6:45 p.m.
