Erie Otters News Release
The London Knights secured a 3-0 series lead over the Erie Otters in game three thanks to a four-point night from Mitchell Marner.
London grabbed the first goal of the game when Marner chipped a puck to Christian Dvorak who rifled a puck top shelf to take the lead.
Four and a half minutes into the second period Owen MacDonalds scored on a wraparound opportunity. Later in the period Matthew Tkachuk added to the Knights lead as he tapped in a pass from Jacob Graves. Minutes later Marner scored his second to bump the Knights lead to 4-0.
Less than a minute into the final frame the Otters scored a shorthanded goal as Patrick Fellows fed a pass to Jake Marchment who redirected the puck past Tyler Parsons. The Knights wrapped up the game with a goal in the middle period from Marner to go onto win 5-1.
The two sides are back at it tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the Budweiser Gardens for game four.
