Osprey Quell Ogden's Streak, Crush O-Town 12-1

Ogden Raptors News Release

MISSOULA -- Skipper Joe Mather's birthday proved a fun one for the Osprey. A two-out, three-run inside-the-park homer in the bottom of the second inning off the bat of Didimo Bracho was the first but hardly the last of the scoring from the home team as Missoula routed the Raptors 12-1 before 2,031 at Allegiance Field in Big Sky Country.

Ogden (16-18) lost for just the fourth time in 16 games and saw its five-game winning streak snapped behind a dominant couting from Osprey ace Connor Grey (4-1), who picked up the win by tossing 6 and 2/3 scoreless frames.

The Osprey put the game away early with crooked numbers in both the second and third. Bracho, Eudy Ramos and Kyle Smith all homered for Missoula, which improved to 13-21.

Cody Thomas and Ibandel Isabel both registered two hits for Ogden. Nolan Long (1-1) took the loss, surrendering eight runs in just four innings.

The clubs conclude a four game set Sunday evening. First pitch is set for 5:05 MDT as Ogden looks to take three of four from the Osprey. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
