OSC’s 10 Questions with Troy Flynn

Our Sports Central asked minor league executives across the country to participate in a short questionnaire about themselves. We will feature their responses every Tuesday.

This week's 10 questions are with Troy Flynn. Mr. Flynn is currently the Executive Director of the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

1. What was your first job in the sports industry? Changeover coordinator for the Wells Fargo Dome in Philadelphia 2. What was the last app you downloaded? A bunch of team apps 3. What was the first job you ever had? Lifeguard Long Beach Township Beach Patrol 4. What is currently your favorite song? Bulls on Parade by Rage Against the Machine 5. What is the last thing you watched on Netflix? I watch a lot of Viceland 6. What is the best advice you have ever received? Do the job no one else is willing to do and be the best at it. 7. What is the last book you read? I read the paper a fair amount, books every now and again, but I like to keep in touch with a variety of topics so I find online subscriptions to be very helpful 8. What is one unique or quirky habit that you have? I break out into song quiet frequently during the work day 9. What advice would you give someone who wants to work in the sports industry? Always think Yes. 10. Who was your role model growing up? My grandfather
