Orlando City to Host Throwback Game

ORLANDO, Fla. - As part of Fantober powered by Southern Ford Dealers, Orlando City SC announces a Throwback Game to celebrate the Club's final match at Camping World Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 23, between the Lions and D.C. United. In 2017, Orlando City will begin a new journey in its world-class downtown soccer stadium.

"We are nearing our final moments at Camping World Stadium, a place where we launched our Major League Soccer season as well as celebrated numerous United Soccer League championships," said Orlando City SC President and Founder Phil Rawlins. "We invite our fans to come and relive the great milestones and memories we have built in this stadium together before launching a new era in our permanent home."
The Throwback game will feature a "where we came from" theme with special content dating back to our beginnings in Central Florida, including USL championship performances and most memorable goals from two seasons in MLS. Legendary Orlando City players and members of the Orlando City Alumni Association will be recognized during the night.
Additionally, Orlando City will revive the I-4 Derby and host the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Seminole Soccer Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. Former Lions and current OCB coaches Anthony Pulis and Rob Valentino will take the pitch in purple once more, along with Erik Ustruck and other notable alumni from both clubs.
