O'REILLY NAMED TO NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING LIST

MADISON, WI - The National Hockey League (NHL) Central Scouting released their Players to Watch list this week, and Madison Capitols right wing Ryan O'Reilly, and affiliate players, right wing Luke Loheit and defenseman Christian Felton, were among 54 current United States Hockey League players named to the list.

All three players were given a grade of "C", indicating that Central Scouting believes they are each a fourth, fifth, or sixth round candidate in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft scheduled for June 22 in Dallas, Texas.

O'Reilly, 17, leads the Capitols with seven goals in 11 games, and ranks third on the team with eight points (7-18). The 6-foot-1, 205-pound native of Dallas, Texas, is tied for first place among USHL rookie goal scorers with seven tallies, and his eight points are tied for fourth place among USHL rookies. O'Reilly is committed to University of Denver.

Loheit, 17, played for Team Southwest in the Upper Midwest High School Elite League Hockey to start off this season. The 6-foot, 183-pound native of Minnetonka, Minnesota, recorded seven points (3-47) and 66 penalty minutes in 16 games with Team Southwest. Loheit will play for the Minnetonka High School Skippers this season, and he is committed to University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Felton, 17, is playing for Kimball Union Academy in Plainfield, New Hampshire, this season. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound native of Medina, Ohio, collected 14 points (2-1214) and 28 penalty minutes in 27 games with Skipjacks Hockey Club 16U during the 2016-17 season.

Current Capitols defenseman Andong "Misha" Song was selected in the sixth round (172nd overall) by the New York Islanders in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Former Capitols defenseman Cole Hults (Los Angeles Kings, 2017), forward Tyler Nanne (New York Rangers, 2014), goaltender Garrett Metcalf (Anaheim Ducks, 2015), and forward Ryan Lohin (Tampa Bay Lightning, 2016) as NHL Entry Draft picks in franchise history.

Madison continues their road trip with a 7:05 p.m. contest against the Sioux City Musketeers at Tyson Events Center on Friday, November 17. The team will return home to host the Dubuque Fighting Saints for the Fill the Nets Food Drive, presented by Findorff Builders and Gordon Food Service, and benefiting Middleton Outreach Ministry, at Bob Suter's Capitol Ice Arena with a 7:05 puck drop on Friday, November 24.
