April 29, 2016 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Orangeville A's News Release

Despite the 15 points and 8 rebounds provided by A's forward Justin Moss, the A's were unable to stop the 4th quarter comeback by the London Lightning. Lightning forward Garrett Williamson finished with a game high 21 points and 6 rebounds, pushing the Lightning to a 122-113 victory.

With only two games remaining in the regular season, the Orangeville A's (13-25) were looking to make the most out of the preview of their upcoming playoff matchup against the Lightning (24-14).

The hometown A's played strong from the jump, carrying over their momentum from last week's win against London (134-119). A's forward Justin Moss was a dominant factor in the 1st quarter, collecting 10 PTS and 4 REB out of his total 18 and 5 on the night. Orangeville would lead the game after the 1st quarter, 27-24.

The 2nd quarter was closely contested between both squads. Strong defence continued to be the story of tonight's game, with the A's holding the Lightning to only 33% from the field during the 1st half. A's guard Da'Quan Brooks also provided a strong quarter for the home team, collecting 11 points during the 1st half of play. The A's would eventually finish the 2nd quarter with a 7 point lead, 51-44.

After trailing for the majority of tonight's game, the London Lightning came out strong during the 4th quarter, and took their first lead of the game since the 1st. The A's were boosted by the play of Tyrone Watson, who dropped 18 points on the Lightning defence. Tonight's game drew right down to the wire, seeing the A's down by a single point with 3:16 remaining, 103-102. The A's were unable to slow the 4th quarter comeback by the Lightning, who managed to vault themselves to a 122-113 finish in the final minutes.

Key Game Notes:

The A's got to the line, but could not capitalize, going 20/31 on the night
