WINSTON-SALEM, NC (APRIL 11, 2012) - The Winston-Salem Dash will hold an Open House sponsored by Prudential Carolinas Reality Saturday, April 14, to kick off opening weekend at BB&T Ballpark. The open house is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina.
"We are excited to team up with Prudential Carolinas Realty to host this special event," Dash team president Geoff Lassiter said. "Our Open House is not only a chance to begin our 2012 season the right way, but it is a tremendous opportunity to work with an organization like Prudential Carolinas Realty that is as dedicated to our community as we are."
Fans who attend the Open House will be able to tour the stadium, purchase Dash tickets, sample ballpark fare and buy merchandise in the Hanes Team Store. Kids also can run the bases, practice their broadcasting skills and hang out in the Kids Zone.
The Open House will also be the only opportunity for the general public to purchase tickets to the 2012 California-Carolina League All-Star Game, which will be held at BB&T Ballpark on Tuesday, June 19. There will be 500 tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Bolt will be in attendance and available for a meet and greet session during the afternoon. Members of the 2012 Dash will be on hand to sign autographs from 11:30-1:30. The Dash Pack will mingle with the fans all day long as well.
The opening weekend festivities begin Friday night with the Dash home opener against the Carolina Mudcats at 7:00 p.m. The first 2,000 fans receive a Dash magnet schedule. Bolt and the Dash Pack will unveil never before seen skits during the game, and a fireworks show will also occur after the conclusion of Friday's contest.
