Ontario Reign Game Preview: Reign and Gulls Clash on American Red

Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), take on the San Diego Gulls today at 3:00 p.m. on American Red Cross Day at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Today is the fifth of 12 regular-season meetings between the two teams.
American Red Cross Day: The Reign will wear custom superhero jerseys for this contest only and will host a live postgame jersey auction to benefit the American Red Cross. Fans can meet their favorite comic book heroes during the game and the Reign will salute several local heroes who serve the community through the American Red Cross. Buy Tickets Touchdown! The Reign scored a season-high seven goals last night in a 7-2 victory over the San Jose Barracuda. The seven goals tie a Reign single-game output with a 7-6 win over Texas back on November 21, 2015.
SoCal Series: The Reign are 3-1-0-0 against the Gulls this season and hold a 7-7-1-1 all-time record. The two teams last met on December 27 in San Diego with the Reign prevailing 2-1 in overtime.
Brodzinski Lighting It Up: Forward Jonny Brodzinski, who scored two goals last night, leads head-to-head series with the Gulls with five points (one goal, four assists).
Hensick Makes History: Forward T.J. Hensick became the 90th player in AHL history to reach 500 career points last night as he picked up career points 500 and 501 (two assists) in the 7-2 win over San Jose.
