One More Day Promotion Announced

Moosic, Pa. - The leap year cometh, the leap year giveth. The SWB RailRiders (Triple-A/New York Yankees) will take advantage of the extra day 2016 affords and give back to the community. RailRiders staff will volunteer at the Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 29. Local media is welcome to attend.

"We love the chance to give back," said RailRiders COO Josh Olerud. "We hope the rest of NEPA will join us in this effort, and we will gladly give to those who help the effort as well."

The team encourages the NEPA community to donate non-perishable food items. The team will reward fans who donate and purchase a five-game plan with extra games.

The promotion runs from Feb. 26 -29 (specific hours below):

- Friday, Feb. 26 at PNC Field from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

- Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Viewmont Mall during "Oh Say Can You Sing" from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

- Sunday, Feb. 28 at PNC Field from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.

- Monday, Feb. 29 at PNC Field from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. (coffee and donuts will be available from 7 a.m.-9 a.m.)

The giving-to-getting breakdown for the "One More Game" promotion:

- 5 items 1 more game

- 10 items 2 more games

- 15 items 3 more games

- 20 items 4 more games

- 25 items 5 more games (max)

The additional game(s) tickets are good for as many seats as purchased:

- If a fan buys two seats for a five-game plan and drops off five items at PNC Field, he/she would receive two tickets to one game.

- If a fan buys four seats for a five-game plan and drops off five items at PNC Field, he/she would receive four tickets to one game.

- And so on...

SWB Station, the RailRiders' team store at PNC Field, will be open on Friday and Monday. The Monday hours for the store will be 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Any fan who donates a non-perishable food item will receive 25% off all non-clearance items.

All donations will go to the Weinberg Northeast Regional Food Bank.

The defending IL North champion RailRiders open their 2016 season on Thursday, April 7 with a two-game homestand against the Rochester Red Wings (Minnesota Twins). For tickets or more information, please call 570-969-BALL (2255) or visit swbrailriders.com.
