HAWKS SPOOKED: The Indiana Ice remained unbeaten at home (3-0-0) with a weekend sweep of the Waterloo Black Hawks. Max Cook and Kevin Goumas scored goals and Casey DeSmith turned back 25 shots as the Ice held on for a 2-1 victory Friday night. On Saturday, Cab Morris made 28 saves for his first career shutout and 11 different players hit the scoring column in a 7-0 rout of the Black Hawks. Justin Agosta led the Ice offensively with a goal and two assists, while Nick Bailen (G, A), Alex Wideman (G, A) and Sean Kuraly (G, A) all had two-point nights.

TOP TANDEM: Goaltenders Cab Morris and Casey DeSmith are the top goaltending tandem in the USHL as the Ice duo have combined for a 2.25 GAA and.922 SV%. Morris enters this week's action first in the USHL in GAA (1.23) and SV% (.952), while DeSmith is fourth in SV% (.918).

"NICK" AT NIGHT: Defenseman Nick Bailen played in his 171st game in an Ice uniform on Saturday tying him with Brent Gwidt-UNO for most games in Ice history.

SEANY BOY: With four players away with the U.S. Junior Select Team, the Ice received a lift this weekend from affiliate forward Sean Kuraly. Kuraly, who has been one of the top forwards for the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets, tapped in a pretty power play goal to go along with an assist in Saturday's victory.

KEEP THE "KILL" ROLLING: The Ice had another perfect weekend on the penalty kill and improved their league-best mark to a 96.6% clip. Indy has killed off 28 of their opponents' 29 power play opportunities with the only blemish occurring against Tri-City on 10/9/09.

TEAM FIGURES: Defensemen Justin Agosta and Nick Bailen combined for five points (2G, 3A) and a (+5) plus/minus in Saturday's win....Anthony Bitetto earned a (+4) plus/minus for the second time this season in the victory Saturday...Max Cook has potted goals in two straight games...Indiana is 5-1-0 against the East Division...The Ice is second in the USHL in goals allowed/game (2.25).

ALUMNI SCOOP: Three-point weekends included Garrett Roe-St. Cloud (2004-07), John Kemp-UNO (2005-08), Eddie Del Grosso-UNO (2004-06) and Paul Carey-Boston College (2007-08)...Two-win weekends included Cody Reichard-Miami (2005-07) and Alex Kangas-Minnesota (2006-07).
