Olympiques Acquire Three Players

Gatineau, June 8th, 2012 - The Gatineau Olympiques acquired three players this morning at the opening of the trade period of the QMJHL during the 2012 entry draft.

They first acquired the 20 years old forward, Yannick Dubé, from the Victoriaville Tigres. In return, the Olympiques traded their 2nd round pick of this year's draft and a 3rd round pick in 2013. Dubé played the last three seasons in Victoriaville. In 195 games with the Tigres, he scored 65 goals and 76 assists for a total of 141 points. Last year, he had a season of 72 points and 36 goals.

The defensemen Gabriel Bourret (20 years old) and Dominic Poulin (18 years old) will also play with the Olympiques next season. Both players complete the trade of Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Christian Ouellet and Mathieu Gagnon. The Chicoutimi Saguenéens take back their 2nd round pick in 2013 and 2014.

Gabriel Bourret played two seasons with the Saint-John Sea Dogs before being traded to the Saguenéens during the 2011 QMJHL draft. In 168 games in the Q, he scored 16 goals and 62 assists for 78 points. He played his best season last year with 35 points. Dominic Poulin was a first round pick (3rd overall) of the Chicoutimi Saguenéens in 2010. He played 107 games with Chicoutimi. He scored 12 goals and 17 assists.
