Oklahoma City Thunder Re-Assigns Liggins and Orton to NBA D-League Affiliate Tulsa 66ers

NEW YORK, March 7, 2013 - The Oklahoma City Thunder today re-assigned DeAndre Liggins and Daniel Orton to the Tulsa 66ers, the Thunder's NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the record 141st and 142nd of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, and the pair are two of the record 54 NBA players to have been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Liggins (6-6, 209, Kentucky) has played in 34 games this season for Oklahoma City, averaging 1.6 points, 1.4 rebounds and 7.8 minutes. During his previous assignments to Tulsa, he appeared in eight games, averaging 9.6 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 2.2 steals and 35.3 minutes.

Orton (6-10, 255, Kentucky) has appeared in eight games for the Thunder this season, averaging 2.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 4.9 minutes. He has played in 19 games on assignment in Tulsa, averaging 11.3 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 28.6 minutes.

Both players are expected to join the 66ers and be available when the team hosts the Iowa Energy today at 11 a.m. ET.
