TODAY: The Oklahoma City RedHawks bring a 5-game winning streak into this afternoon's game against the Memphis Redbirds (St. Louis Cardinals) at AutoZone Park. OKC leads the 4-game series 2-0 after a 7-2 win last night. A win today would allow the RedHawks to match their longest winning streak of 2009, which was accomplished on two occasions. Lefthander Derek Holland gets the start for the RedHawks. Holland is fourth in the league in ERA with a 0.66 (1 ER/13.2 IP). It will be his first career appearance against Memphis and his third start of the year. Lefty Evan MacLane is the scheduled starter for Memphis.

LUCKY 7: The RedHawks 7-2 win last night marked the second game in a row, and third of the season, where they have landed on a season-high 7 runs. OKC has out-scored the opposition 29-6 during the current 5-game winning streak.

SMALL NUMBERS: In the past 5 games, the RedHawks' pitching the staff has allowed a total of 6 earned runs in 45 innings, a 1.20 ERA. The bullpen has gone 3 games, spanning 12.1 innings, without allowing a run. Michael Ballard went 6.2 innings last night, allowing 2 runs for his first (and the team's fifth) quality start among the initial 10 games of the season.

BIG NUMBERS: Matt Brown hit his third homer in the past 2 games last night, a 2-run shot in the eighth inning. Brown is 12th in the league with a .371 batting average. OKC leads the league with 12 home runs. TRACKING TRACY: Chad Tracy remains tied for the league lead with 4 home runs with Nashville's Brendan Katin, Las Vegas' Brett Wallace and Iowa's Jason Dubois. Tracy's .721 slugging percentage is sixth in the PCL. Tracy is second in the PCL with 8 extra-base hits and third in RBIs with 11.

MAXIMIZATION: Catcher Max Ramirez has hit safely in 5 straight, going 10-for-17 with 2 RBIs in that span. Ramirez has also reached base by hit or walk in all 8 games he has played. He is seventh in the league with a .407 batting average.

SMOAK STACKS: Justin Smoak brings an 8-game on-base streak into today's contest. During that time he's 11-for-26 (.423) with 1 homer, 4 RBIs and 8 walks. Smoak is tied for second in the league in walks with 10, 1 behind Omaha's Kila Ka'aihue.

REACHING: The RedHawks have three players in the top 11 in the league in on-base percentage. Max Ramirez and Justin Smoak are tied for fifth at .500, while Matt Brown is 11th at .463.

DOT...DOT...DOT: the RedHawks have not been out-hit this year...they have collected more hits than the opposition 8 times (6-2) and had an even hit total twice (1-1)...OKC has out-hit the opposition in 6 straight games...the RedHawks did not steal a base last night, snapping a stretch of 2 steals in each of the last 5 games...When Hernan Iribarren is in the starting lineup the RedHawks are 5-1...OKC has hit into 16 double plays while turning 5 in the field...Gregorio Petit has played every inning at shortstop, the only RedHawk to have manned one position for the entire season.

FIELD STAFF BACK: RedHawks skipper Bobby Jones is back for his 10th season in Oklahoma City, the fourth during his current stint. Jones is the winningest manager in OKC's Triple-A history. Pitching coach Terry Clark, hitting coach Scott Coolbaugh and athletic trainer Jason Roberts all return for the second seasons in Oklahoma City. It's year 4 for strength coach Ric Mabie.
