OKC Dodgers Hosting Dodgeball Tournament and OKC Drinks & Eats Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY - Although baseball season has come to an end, the competition will start to heat back up during the first Dodgers Dodgeball Tournament Thursday, Oct. 1 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.

The tournament consists of 16 teams, and each team is allowed to have 6-10 players. Registration for each player is $35 and includes a three-game guarantee, three beers, a t-shirt, and much more. Teams must register by tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30. Each player must be at least 21 years old and will need to bring a photo ID to the ballpark. Check-in begins at 5:15 p.m., and games will begin at 6 p.m. Free parking will be available in the Joe Carter Lot for all participating players. Creative team names and team uniforms are encouraged.

The tournament will begin with pool play, with four pools consisting of four teams. The top two teams from each pool will then enter a single-elimination, eight-team tournament. Each game will last three minutes. If neither team has been eliminated once time has expired, the team with the greater number of remaining players will be declared the winner.

The grand prize winner of the Dodgers Dodgeball Tournament will win an all-inclusive hospitality area during an Oklahoma City Dodgers game in 2016.

In addition to the Dodgers Dodgeball Tournament, the OKC Dodgers will also host OKC Drinks & Eats at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark from 5:30-10 p.m. The event is free to the public, but all attendees must be at least 21 years old. OKC Drinks & Eats will be in the parking lot behind right field at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark along Joe Carter Ave.

- Smokin' Okies

- Taste of Soul Egg Roll

Beer, wine, and liquor will be available at OKC Drinks & Eats. DJ Rodney Ladd will be providing the music and entertaining the crowd throughout the event.
