INDIANAPOLIS - The Indians' offense was ineffective for a third straight day as the IronPigs collected their second shutout of the series, 2-0, to sweep the Tribe on Wednesday at Victory Field.

Lehigh Valley (58-40) scored a pair of runs in the opening stanza on a two-run home run by Nick Williams.

Ryan Vogelsong (0-1) started for Indianapolis (49-50) on a Major League rehab assignment after making a pair of starts for Double-A Altoona. He finished with 4.0 innings pitched, allowed two earned runs, four hits, and struck out two.

Jake Thompson (9-5) worked six innings to earn the win.

The Indians grounded into four double plays on the day. They have scored one run in the last 27 innings.

The Indians will next welcome the Charlotte Knights for a three-game series starting Thursday at 7:05 p.m. This story was not subject to the approval of the National Association of Professional Baseball Leagues or its clubs.
